Introduction:
At IIT Rajasthan, the academic activities of post graduate programmes are conceived and implemented through the Centres of Excellence. At present IIT Rajasthan has the following three Centres of Excellence.
Centre of Excellence in Energy
Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Centre of Excellence in Systems Science (SS).
In order to promote the inter-disciplinary culture in each and every academic activity, IIT Rajasthan does not adopt the structure of establishing the academic departments based on the individual disciplines.
Only the undergraduate programmes (e.g., Four Year B.Tech. Programme) are offered in the individual disciplines.

Academic Section:
At present, all academic activities are coordinated by the Academic Coordinator.
Officer-In-Charge, Academic Affairs (who assists the academic coordinator) looks after all administrative matters related to the academics.
