Dr. Gaurav Vaidya is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, IIT Jodhpur. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Nagpur University), an M.Des. in Industrial Design (IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay), and a Ph.D. in Design (DoD, IIT Guwahati). Dr. Gaurav has over 12 years of academic and industry experience, having worked with Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Godrej Interio, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He was a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh (NID MP); the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal; the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, (IIITDM), Jabalpur; and the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, India. His work spans design education, emotional design, and new product development, integrating craft sensibilities and user-centered approaches in design practice.
