Dr. Gaurav Vaidya is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, IIT Jodhpur. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Nagpur University), an M.Des. in Industrial Design (IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay), and a Ph.D. in Design (DoD, IIT Guwahati). Dr. Gaurav has academic and industry experience of 10+ years, having worked for Larsen and Toubro (L&T), Godrej Interio, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He was a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh (NID MP) and the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal, India. His work spans design education, emotional design, new product development, integrating craft sensibilities and user-centered approaches in design practice.
