Dr. Vikramsingh Thakur is a polymer scientist at the forefront of smart, sustainable packaging. A Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF) and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, his work spans multifunctional nanocomposite films engineered for superior barrier performance, mechanical strength, antioxidant activity, and real-time sensing.
His academic journey from Gold Medalist B.Tech. to M.Tech. with Distinction to PMRF doctoral scholar reflects a track record of consistent excellence.
Beyond academia, Dr. Thakur has translated research into real-world impact across leading organizations: ITC Ltd. (biodegradable composites for high-barrier food and personal care packaging); Bambrew (next-gen sustainable and meta-material packaging); Saint-Gobain Abrasives (nonwoven nanocomposites); Resil Chemicals (silicon-modified resins); and DRDO Pune (electrospun nanofiber-reinforced laminates).
He holds two patents, including one on bilayered halochromic freshness-indicator films, and has earned honors including the Best Project in Business Impact, Devidasrao Ashtaputre Memorial Award, Research Excellence Travel Award, Best Teaching Assistant Award, Research Scholar Travel Award, and Best Presenter at a national pharmaceutical symposium.
Dr. Thakur currently serves on the advisory board of and as a consultant to various industries, driving materials innovation and bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and scalable industrial solutions.

Our group thrives on curiosity, creativity, and collaboration as we explore both fundamental science and real-world applications of polymer composite technologies for a sustainable future and the benefit of society.
