Associate ProfessorPriyanka Singh
Dr. Priyanka Singh is an
Associate Professor in the Department of Bioscience & Bioengineering at IIT
Jodhpur, where her research delves into the mechanisms of centrosome
organization and cell proliferation, with a strong emphasis on cancer
therapeutics. Combining forward and reverse drug discovery strategies, her lab
seeks to identify novel anti-cancer molecules while exploring the diagnostic
and therapeutic potential of centrosomes in human diseases.
Dr. Singh completed her B.Sc. in
Microbiology (Honours) from the University of Delhi, followed by an M.Sc. in
Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Ph.D. from the University
of Muenster, Germany.
Before joining IIT Jodhpur, she
conducted postdoctoral research as an EMBO Long-Term Fellow at the Biozentrum,
Basel (Switzerland) and as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck
Institute, Dortmund (Germany). Her contributions to biomedical research have
been recognized through prestigious awards, including the INYAS-2025
membership, BRNS Young Scientist Research Award (2021), and DBT-Har Gobind
Khorana Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (2019). Through her
interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Singh aims to bridge fundamental discoveries
with translational applications in cancer therapy.
