Prof. Venkatesan is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. Prior to this, he was HAL Chair Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. His research interests are in the areas of helicopter dynamics and aeroelasticity, and autonomous helicopter design. He is a Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering. He has written a text book on “Fundamentals of Helicopter Dynamics”, published in 2014 by CRC Press, USA.
