Dr. Shipra Bajpai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at IIT Jodhpur and leads the Advanced Ceramics and Composites Laboratory (ACCL). She received her Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Appointee at Argonne National Laboratory, USA. Her work focuses on bridging fundamental materials science with scalable manufacturing technologies for advanced engineering applications.
Research
Research in our group focuses on the design, processing, manufacturing, and performance evaluation of advanced ceramics and composites for extreme environments. Current research interests include high-entropy ceramics, ceramic joining, additive manufacturing, precision machining, and materials for aerospace, nuclear, and high-temperature applications. The overarching goal is to develop robust, scalable ceramic technologies that enable next-generation engineering systems.
