About

Dr. Yogiraj Sargam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at IIT Jodhpur. He works in the research areas of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), waste valorization, and nanomaterials within the cement and concrete value chain.

Dr. Sargam earned his Ph.D. (2021) and M.S. (2019) from Iowa State University, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Kejin Wang. His doctoral work on the dispersion and stability of nanomaterials in cementitious systems earned him the Research Excellence Award from the university. His master’s research was focused on the measurement and prediction of mass concrete parameters and thermal conductivity.

After his graduate studies, Dr. Sargam worked at CarbonCure Technologies, Canada (2021–2025), where he held roles of Research Scientist, Director of Research, and Senior Director of Research. During his tenure, he played a key role in advancing the understanding of CO2 mineralization mechanisms and developing CO2 utilization technologies for low-carbon concrete.

Dr. Sargam has published extensively in high-impact journals, including Cement and Concrete Research, Journal of CO₂ Utilization, and Composites Part B, and actively collaborates with renowned researchers worldwide. His detailed research profile is available on Google Scholar.

If you are interested in joining Dr. Sargam’s research group or would like to collaborate with him, please reach out to him at ysargam@iitj.ac.in.
