Dr. Priyabrata Rautray, Assistant Professor at the School of Design, IIT Jodhpur, is a passionate design researcher with 16+ years of experience in architecture and design in India. He has a bachelor's degree in architecture (2007), a master's degree in industrial design (2009), and a Joint PhD degree from IIT Hyderabad and Swinburne University, Australia (2023). His research focused on understanding users’ needs, wants and concerns and how to convert these users’ insights into design parameters. He has worked on many collaborative projects and has secured funding from the Government of India and other funding agencies. He has one Indian Bio-Bricks patent and twenty design registrations for Personal Areial Vehicles and Smart Product designs.
