Dr. Hirshikesh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. Prior to joining IIT Jodhpur, he was a scientist at the IAM-Microstructure Modelling and Simulation Lab, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Germany.
He has completed his M.S and PhD degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras, India, where he was affiliated with the Integrated Modeling and Simulation Laboratory (iMSL) and the Mechanics of Materials Laboratory.
His research interests include computational fracture mechanics, computational solid mechanics, phase-field method for fracture, fracture due to multi-physical interactions, and adaptive re-meshing strategies.
