Capacity Building Program on 23 September 2025
The IITJ-JJM Center for Sustainable Drinking Water, IIT Jodhpur, under the leadership of Prof. Pradip K. Tewari, organized a one-day Capacity Building Programme on Water Source Sustainability for WASH in Rural Areas on 23rd September 2025 via the SPM Niwas Digital Academy. With 300+ registrations from 25+ States/UTs, the event featured keynote talks by Prof. Saugata Datta (USA) on water sustainability in the Bengal Basin, Prof. Dr. Khin-Ni-Ni Thein (Myanmar) on community-driven WASH solutions, and Dr. Kavita Verma (IISc Bangalore) on groundwater recharge in semi-arid areas. The programme also included an interactive technical discussion, fostering cross-regional dialogue on innovative approaches to rural water security under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
