On the occasion of World Water Day, the IITJ-JJM Center for Sustainable Drinking Water at IIT Jodhpur conducted a Capacity- Building Program on March 22, 2025 (Saturday). The program was focused on “Ensuring the Sustainability of Water Sources for Improving Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) in Rural Areas”. Over 250 participants registered from across India. The presentation by Professor Pawan Labhasetwar, Professor of Practice, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras, included the intricate water safety plans. Dr. Saran Aadhar, Assistant Professor, IIT Jodhpur, gave a comprehensive explanation of hydrological aspect estimation and its real-world impacts through case study evaluations for future applications. Another expert, Shri Prabhaker Kumar Varma, Principal Advisor to the Chairperson, Haryana Pond and Wastewater Management Authority (HPWWMA), shared Haryana's notable achievements in water sustainability and detailed the Pond Authority's work.
