Dr. Tara Chand Kumawat is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, he served as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur from 2018 to 2021. He earned his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from MBM Engineering College Jodhpur (now MBM University Jodhpur) in 2011, followed by an M.Tech from IIT Roorkee in 2013 and a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur in 2018.

Dr. Kumawat’s research:
primarily focuses on the hydrodynamic stability of free-surface thin liquid film flows over both planar and curved surfaces. He also actively investigates antibubble dynamics and flow through porous media. His work in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) encompasses the study of single and multiphase flows to enhance heat, mass, and momentum transfer in macro/micro-scale straight and helical channels
