Dr. Kriti Goel joined the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur as an Assistant Professor in December 2025. She received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in August 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Jugal K. Verma. Dr. Goel has held several postdoctoral positions since. She was an Early Career Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, India (October 2020 - October 2021), working with Dr. Indranath Sengupta. She received the Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowship to attend the University of Utah, USA (January 2022 - January 2023) and work with Dr. Anurag Singh. It was followed by a 2-year position in the Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry group at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, Spain. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA (August 2025 - December 2025), working with Hema Srinivasan.

Her research interests include the study of the local theory of singularities from an algebraic viewpoint, with emphasis on numerical invariants of singularities, in particular, multiplicity theory and positive characteristic methods.
