Assistant ProfessorAbout :
I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, where I have been contributing since March 2023. Before this, I was a faculty member at NIT Rourkela. My research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the lattice Boltzmann method, non-Newtonian rheology, magnetohydrodynamics, thermal energy storage, etc.
I have completed my M.Tech and PhD from IIT Roorkee in 2010, and 2015, respectively. My PhD thesis topic was ‘Convective Flow and Heat Transfer Analysis using Thermal lattice Boltzmann method’ With a strong passion for advancing scientific knowledge, I have authored over 50 publications, including five edited books. My work revolves around developing innovative computational models and exploring complex fluid dynamics phenomena with real-world applications. I have received research funding of around 92 Lakhs from ISRO RESPOND and DST-SERB. I was awarded with the Best Researcher Award in December 2018 from MNATHAN, Dehradun. I acted as an honorary regional secretary for IICHE - Rourkela regional center. I am also Life member of Institution of Engineers (IEI), since 2018. Recently, I was awarded with International Mobility Research Grant (IMRG)- 2025 by IIT Jodhpur to visit the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia.
I am always open to collaborations, research discussions, and networking opportunities in the fields of computational modeling and energy systems. Let’s connect and explore ways to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in chemical engineering!
