Title of the talk: Projection Methods for Integral and Integro-differential Equations

Abstract: In this talk, we discuss piecewise and global polynomial based projection methods to solve classical integral and integro-differential equations. This study covers both linear and nonlinear equations with smooth, weakly singular and hypersingular kernels. We further extend our analysis to solve fractional order integro-differential equations with smooth and weakly singular kernels. We have rigorously studied the convergence analysis of the proposed methods. Further, we obtain superconvergence for the weakly singular integral equations by improving the regularity of the exact solution, using a smoothing transformation. Several numerical examples have been implemented to demonstrate the theoretical results.
