Faculty Seminar by Dr. Raj Kamal Maurya, on 8 August 2025

Title of the talk: "Inference and Optimal Design of Life Testing Experiments under Censored Data"

Date, Time & Venue: 8 August 2025, 05:00 PM, Seminar Hall, Dept. of Mathematics

Abstract: This work explores the reliability modelling of load sharing systems under progressive censoring and integrates it with compound optimal design (COD) to improve experimental efficiency. In load sharing systems, component failure affects the stress on remaining units, altering their failure behaviour. Progressive censoring allows selective removal of units during testing, making data collection more practical. We develop a COD framework that balances precision of parameter estimation with test cost, ensuring both statistical and operational efficiency. Applications to Weibull lifetime models demonstrate the advantages of this approach through simulation and numerical studies.
