Research seminar by Dr. Arvind Kumar Nath on 23 April 2026 at 05:00 PM
Title of the talk: “Lévy Flows and Associated SPDEs”
Date, Time & Venue: 23 April 2026 at 5:00 P.M on Seminar room, Dept. of Mathematics
Abstract: We will see certain structural properties of Lévy flows and use this information to obtain the existence of strong solutions to a class of Stochastic PDEs in the space of tempered distributions, driven by Lévy noise. The uniqueness of the solutions follows from the monotonicity inequality. These results extend an earlier work of Suprio Bhar on the diffusion case.
About the Speaker: Dr. Arvind Kumar Nath is a researcher specializing in Stochastic Partial Differential Equations (SPDEs) and stochastic analysis. He completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur, and his M.Sc. in Mathematics from IIT Gandhinagar. He received his B.Sc. from Government College, Kota. His research focuses on SPDEs driven by Lévy noise in the space of tempered distributions, along with stochastic flows and related analytical techniques.
