About

Dr. Divya Saxena is an Assistant Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur). She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) in 2017. Following her doctoral studies, she pursued postdoctoral research at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2018 to 2021, where she later served as a Research Assistant Professor from 2021 to 2025.

Her research lies at the intersection of Generative AI, Foundation Models, Multimodal AI, Federated Learning, and Continual Learning, with the broader goal of advancing AI for real-world constrained environments. Through the Machine Intelligence Lab, she develops intelligent systems that can learn, adapt, and generalize under non-ideal conditions, where data are limited, environments evolve, knowledge is distributed, modalities are diverse, and resources are constrained. Her work aims to bridge foundational advances in AI with the practical challenges of learning in complex real-world settings, including healthcare and other high-impact domains.

Dr. Saxena has published in top-tier venues such as NeurIPS, CVPR, AAAI, WACV, IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TNNLS, etc. Her research seeks to build AI systems that are not only methodologically strong, but also robust, accessible, and impactful in practice.

She is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Internet of Things Journal. In addition, she is an active reviewer for leading journals and conferences in AI and machine learning. She welcomes collaborations across academia and industry in areas aligned with her research vision.
