Workshop on Pedagogy and Assessment
The CETE organized a Workshop on Pedagogy and Assessment for its faculty members on May 02, 2023 at 5:00 PM in the Jodhpur Club. The event was coordinated by Dr. Deepak Saxena, Assistant Professor, School of Management & Entrepreneurship. The workshop began by introduction to the CETE and the sessions by Dr. Rachel Philip, Assistant Professor, School of Liberal Arts.
Session 01 Designing assessments using Bloom's Taxonomy / Dr. Rajlaxmi Chouhan, Assistant Professor, Department of EE This session presented some examples of designing assessments using the Bloom's Taxonomy.
Session 02 Academics @ IITJ: A Consequentialist Perspective / Prof. Santanu Chaudhury, Director, IIT Jodhpur In this session, Prof. Chaudhury shared the importance of academic audit, need to evaluate the success of programs, re-evaluation of student wellbeing, design credits, start-up policies, roles of moderation committees, roles of faculty advisors, and other broad aspects that demand deliberations within the faculty community.
The workshop included interactions between the faculty community where many members shared their thoughts on evaluation, assessment design, and regulations. The event concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Bijnan Bandyopadhyay, Visiting Professor, Department of EE and Head, CETE.
